Catholics Speak Out

This homily was delivered by Fr. Godfrey Stoute at the Saturday morning celebration of the Holy Eucharist at the Jesus Explosion 2010. In it he challenges Catholics and Christians to do not be afraid to speak out in the name of Jesus and not to conform to the standards of this world. Even if we are being troubled, threatened or attacked, we should always speak out.

In this homily, Fr. Stoute shares his personal experiences of speaking out, including instances where he was disliked by his own parishoners because he spoke the truth and another where because of the powerful ministry he maintained, his life was threatened by a religious sect because through his ministry, he was ‘depriving them of new recruits.
