Men – You Have a Role to Play In The Restoration Of Womanhood

Please click the Play Button below to listen to audio

It would be a tragic mistake to speak about the restoration of womanhood without speaking to the role of men.

Because the truth is:
The distortion of femininity has often walked hand in hand with the distortion of masculinity.

Women have been told to commodify themselves
But often, it was men who first demanded it.

Women have been taught to perform and please
But too often, it was the eyes of men they were taught to please.

Women have been pressured to be louder, bolder, more sensual—
And many men have rewarded that with attention, money, and imitation.

In the law of supply and demand: if there is no demand, the supply dies.

So what if men stopped demanding women degrade themselves—online, in media, in relationships?
What if men refused to celebrate or even tolerate disrespect disguised as “manhood”?
What if men stopped consuming the content that exploits women and started consuming the Word of God?

What if men led a cultural revival—not just in words, but in how they look, how they lead, how they love, and how they live?

Mary and the Call to Masculinity

At first, it may seem strange to turn to Mary when addressing men.

But consider this:
God the Father entrusted Mary to a man—Joseph.

And Joseph, though silent in Scripture, is one of the greatest examples of true masculinity:

  • He did not possess Mary—he protected her.
  • He did not use her—he honored her.
  • He did not expose her—he covered her with compassion.
  • He did not boast—he obeyed God without hesitation.
  • He led his family not with pride, but with humility, reverence, and sacrifice.

Joseph wasn’t weak. He was righteous.
He wasn’t passive. He was deeply attentive to God’s voice.

Mary’s dignity flourished partly because Joseph made room for it.
He didn’t compete with her holiness—he protected the sacred in her.

Today’s world doesn’t need more aggressive or passive men.
It needs holy menmen of God, like Joseph.

Men who see the image of God in every woman’s face—no matter how she’s dressed or how wounded she may be.

Men who raise sons to reverence women, and raise daughters to expect to be reverenced.

A Challenge to Every Man Reading This

Brother in Christ,
You are not a bystander in this cultural moment.

You are either contributing to the problem,
or helping to restore the beauty of womanhood.

Your Eyes Matter.

Because what you choose to look at shapes how you see others.
If you train your eyes to look with lust, you will see people as objects.
But if you train your eyes to look with reverence, you will see souls—eternal and sacred.
The eyes are not just windows to your soul—they are mirrors of your heart.

Your Words Matter.

Because your tongue can bless or break, build or destroy.
Every joke, every comment, every text has power.
The words you speak about women—especially when they’re not in the room—reveal who you are.
Speak life. Speak respect. Speak truth.

Your Locker-Room Jokes Matter.

Because what’s said in private forms your public character.
Mocking modesty, objectifying women, or laughing at sin isn’t harmless.
It’s a signal—to your friends, your sons, and your soul—of what you really believe.
Holiness doesn’t turn off when the doors are closed.

Your Entertainment Choices Matter.

Because what entertains you, forms you.
If you spend hours consuming shows, songs, or images that demean women, don’t be surprised if it changes how you treat them.
You can’t fill your heart with garbage and expect purity to flow out.
Choose content that aligns with your calling—not your cravings.

Your Example in Your Home, School, Church, or Office Matters.

Because people are watching.
Even if you don’t think they are, they are.
And especially the next generation.
What you tolerate becomes what they normalize.
What you model becomes what they mimic.

Your Mentorship of Younger Men Matters.

Because if you don’t guide them, the world will—and it won’t teach them how to love.
It will teach them how to take.
Raise your sons, disciple your students, challenge your brothers in Christ.
Because iron sharpens iron, and men of God raise men of God.

You Were Not Made to Dominate.

You were not made to intimidate, manipulate, or exploit.
That is the world’s twisted version of manhood.
You were made to reflect the strength of Christ—who washed feet, bore the cross, and laid down His life for the Church.

You Were Made to Defend, to Uplift, to Lay Down Your Life in Love—Just as Christ Did.

This is your true calling.
To be strong, yes—but strong enough to protect what is holy.
To be bold, yes—but bold enough to repent and lead.
To be a man—not of the world, but of the Kingdom.
To love in a way that honors, purifies, and elevates—like Jesus did for His bride.

The world calls that weakness.
Heaven calls it strength.

What If We Lived Differently?

  • What if, even when women don’t act like daughters of the King, we still treated them as such?
  • What if, instead of consuming culture, we challenged it?
  • What if we held one another accountable not just for purity, but for honor?
  • What if we created communities of men who talk more about virtue, integrity, purity, fatherhood, leadership, and prayer than about control or conquest?

When men change, culture changes.
When men lead in holiness, families heal.
When men return to God, generations are redeemed.

Honor Begins at the Cross

At the foot of the Cross stood a woman—Mary—and a man—John, the beloved disciple.
And Jesus, with some of His last words, gave Mary into the care of a man He trusted:

“Behold your mother.”
John 19:27

Even in death, Christ gave Mary into the hands of a man who would honor her.

Will we not do the same?

To the Men of This Generation

This is not a guilt trip—it’s a call to revival.
It’s not too late to turn around.
It’s not too late to relearn what it means to be a man.

And there is no better teacher than the Woman who said yes to God—Mary, full of grace.

She is not just a model for women.
She is a call to holiness for men, too.

Honor her.
Imitate St. John.
Behold your mother.
And become the man God created you to be.

Prayer for Men: A Call to Lead with Honor

Heavenly Father,
You created man in Your image—strong, courageous, and called to lead in love.
But too often, we have forgotten who we are.
We have allowed the world to define manhood by power, pride, and pleasure.
We have looked at women as objects, not as sacred daughters of Your heart.

Today, Lord, we repent.
We lay down the false identities and broken patterns we’ve carried.
We ask You to make us men of honor—men who protect, not exploit;
Who build up, not tear down;
Who speak truth in love, and act with integrity.

Teach us, O Lord, to see every woman with the eyes of Heaven—
To honor her as You honored Mary, to defend her as Joseph did,
To walk in purity, as saints before us walked.

May we be fathers who model holiness,
Brothers who speak life,
Husbands who lay down their lives in sacrificial love,
And leaders who shape a world where women are cherished and safe.

Give us strength to lead by serving,
Courage to protect what is holy,
And humility to follow Your will.
Make us men after Your own heart.
And through the intercession of Our Lady, may we become
True sons of the King.

Amen.
