Fully Catholic Celebrates 12th Anniversary – Launch App

Launch Of FREE FullyCatholic App

It was in July of 2003 when I was asked to conduct one of the workshops at the AEC Caribbean Youth Assembly held here in Trinidad.  the topic was “The Church And The Internet.”  The Assembly was over a weekend, and the workshop was on the Saturday. During my presentation, we were sharing – I think – on how to make the teachings of the Catholic Church more readily accessible, when I was challenged by some of the attendees. The challenge was not to let this workshop be only a workshop and that I should do something. Well I paused for a while and I looked straight at them and said quite affirmatively, “I will do something about it!”

Well, at the end of the workshop, I left for home thinking about the commitment I had made. Strange; I didn’t quite know what I was going to do.  Even though I may not see those I made the commitment to, i had to honour the promise I made. It was on the Sunday, the final day of the Assembly, while I was sitting in the Grand Stand of the Queens Park Savannah, that it hit me.  many of the Catholics that I know seem to pick and choose what Catholic teaching to believe. So then the name Fully Catholic came to me. At that point, I was quite anxious to get home to see if the domain name was available. To my surprise, it was. Anyway, that was the birth of FullyCatholic.Com.

The site has evolved a whole lot from when it started to now. It started on being just about three (3) pages I think, built using Microsoft FrontPage.  I did not know about blogging then.  FullyCatholic.Com now has over two thousand posts and growing.  It now included an Internet Radio station, streaming uplifting Christian music, Catholic teachings, the Rosary and more. On average, FullyCatholic get about 5000 unique visitors per month with the majority of our visitors coming from the United States, followed by Trinidad and Tobago, then South Korea

We started this year – 2015 – by the Grace of God, with a mission to make the contents of the site even more readily available. With the rapid increase in the use of smart phones, we decided to build an app.  The app is called FullyCatholicApp and can be downloaded from Google Play Store.  The main features of the app include:-

  • An audio presentation  by Fr. John Theodore on the history of the Catholic Church and the Bible

  • FullyCatholic Internet Radio

  • The Rosary in audio form

  • An audio library with several apologetic presentation on the teachings of the Catholic Church

The app is a definite must-have for every Catholic as well as non-Catholics who would like to learn more about the Catholic Church.  It is an easy to use app and it is absolutely FREE!

Looking forward, we anticipate even greater things – by the Grace of God – in the future.  So please keep us in your prayers – that God will be lifted high in all that we go and this His Word will reach to the ends of the earth.
