Some time back, I took a stroll outside from my office, and while strolling, I could not aid but observe a windscreen sticker – maybe due to the fact that it had The Name JESUS in it. You view, the globe has done such a work in attempting to push JESUS out of the equation of our lives, that when The Name is displayed, it ends up being rather popular.
Anyhow, as I check out the enroll the back windscreen of this parked auto, at an initial glance I really did not quite obtain it, but as I got closer and kinda decreased as I approached, I thought to myself, “Ahh! WoW!” You read, the indication read, “No Jesus, No Peace! Know Jesus, Know Peace!” I remained to refine the message of that indication for the rest of the day, and each time I thought about it, I was ‘amazed’ a lot more.
No Jesus, No Peace
One of the things I locate myself doing once in a while is considering people. There is sharing that shares “a picture paints one thousand words.” Well typically, when I check out lots of people, the picture that is repainted is a quite unfortunate one and the words that are written are not words of passion, of joy, of peace, neither of life. The image that is painted is one of despair, of chaos, of emptiness, of death. This is true not merely for folks below in Trinidad, but across the globe – merely consider global information and you’ll see! You’ll see and become aware of all manner of outrages being done by man, and simply when you believe it could possibly not possibly get worse, it does.
So what is the problem? Here in Trinidad and Tobago, the federal government of the day as well as those past, and possibly also those to come, seem to think that by creating larger prisons, passing and applying stricter regulations and the resumption of the executioner will certainly detain the issue – pardon the pun. It will certainly not! There are those that believe that the troubles are induced by destitution, un-employment and higher cost of living. I ask to vary. The common denominator in all 3 of these is not nearly enough money – aka scarcity. Destitution has been around basically since the start of time. It has actually been about when our moms and dads and grand-parents were maturing, yet they will certainly indicate that times were truly hard but yet things were no where as bad as they are now!
So just what was different? If scarcity existed then, yet individuals could still leave their residences open without concern actually of being burglarized, just what was various? “Rass Shorty I” struck the nail on the head when he sang,
“All yuh push the Developer out,.
You really did not wish He call in yuh mouth.
So you take Him from the school curriculum,.
No understanding of God for the youngsters.“
(You could hear the entire tune below)

Man was made for something much higher than that which he now seeks, and when he continues to seek fulfilment in “the much less” – when “One of the most” is all that will please man’s cravings, there will certainly always be a space, a yearning, an emptiness, an uneasyness within. On the other hand, it is in finding God with our entire hearts that all man’s desires and hopings are satisfied and surpassed to such a level that despite exactly how “de cash short” somewhat, he will make it do, and he will not think of burglarizing or injuring – let along, getting rid of – others to balance the perceived deficit.
We were produced God, without Whom, we are absolutely nothing! St Augustine makes that very clear in among his most well-known sayings – “You have actually made us for on your own, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.” In the days when our parents and splendid moms and dads were growing up, in the middle of the scarcity that alreadied existing then, and the concern of war of the nations one and 2, there was a respect for the human p.erson born out of the great fear of God. This was the very root and foundation of human existence then. So that in spite of the difficulties and un-employment and the poverty that existed then, man’s behaviour was governed by the fear and might I add, the knowledge of God. Imagine for a moment, a perfectly strong and healthy person – full of life and stamina. If you take the spine out of that person, they will surely collapse. Likewise the human race when God is taken out of their existence.
Know Jesus, Know Peace
Ah, but then God sent His only Son – JESUS the PRINCE of PEACE – into the world, and on the night He was born, the heavenly Hosts praised GOD singing, “Glory to GOD in the highest Heaven and peace to men who enjoy His favour.” It is this JESUS, the PRINCE of PEACE who has proven to be the definitive factor throughout the history and salvation of mankind. It is this JESUS who has made the difference to mankind and the salvation of the human race.
Now what does it mean to know Jesus? Is it head knowledge we’re talking about here? Well yes and no… Our faith journey starts by hearing about JESUS and who He is and what He’s done; but it does not end there. We must allow the knowledge of GOD revealed through His Son JESUS to seduce us – like the Prophet Jeremiah – into a deeper relationship with Him, one that will change our lives, the way we think, the things we do, the way we dress, the way we treat our bodies, the way we treat others, the way we treat GOD. For each of us, our experience of GOD through JESUS His Son can be summed up in one very simple yet powerful truth – GOD LOVES ME! That’s the game changer! That truth removes the blinds from our eyes and causes us to see things in a completely new light. That truth moves us from darkness into light. That truth changes us from living a culture of death to life-giving. That truth changes our whole perspective on life. That truth changes the way we see others – without exception. That truth will cause the rich to share with the poor. That truth will cause those with plenty to share their bread with the poor. That truth will cause those who have, to share clothing, water, time and treasure, with those who have not. That truth will remove the barrier that exist between the have’s and the have’s not. That truth that we all can confess; that GOD LOVES ME is the game changer that our world needs.
While passing new laws and enforcing old ones may help, it will not address the root cause of the problem. The resumption of hanging won’t solve it either. All of these are like taking Tylenol for a brain tumour. It may pass the headaches a bit and give you a false sense of security, while the real and growing problem remains un-addressed. The solution to the world’s problems is found in JESUS the PRINCE of PEACE, the SON of GOD. We have to return to basics. We have to put GOD back in our schools in a real way. We have to put GOD back into our lives. In short – No God, No Peace! Know God, Know Peace
