Light of the World Has Come To Be Lifted Up

In the shadows of the night,
A whisper breaks through the darkness,
A voice, a beacon of hope,
Calling out to lost souls.

“For God so loved the world,” it proclaims,
“He gave His only Son,
That whoever believes in Him,
Shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

Imagine, a love so deep,
That it spans across eternity,
A sacrifice beyond measure,
To offer us salvation’s treasure.

As Moses lifted up the serpent,
In the wilderness of old,
So must the Son of Man be lifted,
To redeem the world, to make us whole.

Yet, the light has come into the world,
But many choose to dwell in shadows,
Preferring darkness over truth,
For fear of their deeds being exposed.

But those who embrace the light,
Who walk in the path of righteousness,
Their deeds are done in God’s sight,
Revealed by the brilliance of His holiness.

So let us not shrink back in fear,
Nor hide from the light’s piercing gaze,
For in the light, there is freedom,
And in Christ, there is endless grace.

May we embrace the truth revealed,
In the words of John, so clear,
And let the light of Christ illuminate,
Every corner of our hearts, every shadow of our fears.

For He is the light of the world,
The hope of all mankind,
And in Him, we find redemption,
And in Him, true life we find.
