What is the apostolic tradition?

Apostolic tradition is the transmission of the message of Jesus Christ, though the ages, brought about from the beginning of Christianity by means of preaching, bearing witness, institutions, worship, and inspired writings. The apostles transmitted or the received from Christ and live and by the Holy Spirit to their successors, the bishops, and through them all generations to the ends of the earth.

YEAR OF FAITH CORNER

At the Last Supper with his apostles on the eve of his passion Jesus anticipated, that is, both symbolized his free self-offering and made it really present: “This is my Body which is given for you” (Luke 22:19), “This is my Blood which is poured out...” (Matthew 26:28) Thus he both instituted the Eucharist as the “memorial” (1 Corinthians 11:25) of his sacrifice and instituted his apostles as priests of the new covenant. Stations Of The Cross For Children

  • PDF

Ok children. This is the first thing on Fully Catholic that is specially for you. So pray that there will be lots and lots more.

The Stations Of The Cross , also called the Way Of The Cross, is a very powerful and beautiful set of meditations and prayers that will help you to understand how much God loves you. It is made up of fourteen stations. Each station is an event in the Passion of Jesus, starting with when He was condemned in the first station, and going all the way to when He was laid in the tomb.

But you know what - even though they put Jesus in a tomb, He rose from the dead on Easter Sunday. So the Stations Of The Cross in a real way helps us to look forward and to prepare for Easter.

So as you go through the Stations of the Cross, please pray for all the little boys and girls all around the world who do not know Jesus; that they will come to know that Jesus loves them and that He cares.

Reverence For Mass

We are losing that sense of reverence for the Holy Eucharist by the way we rush in and out of Mass, the way we dress for Mass, the use of cell phones during Mass, among other things. Do you agree?
